Watercolours (2006)

Watercolours tell the story of a young boy who goes to stay with his grandparents whilst his parents move all their belongings to a new home, in a new town.

Upset about this big change in his life, starting again and having to make new friends, he is not a happy boy. But then he meets Cressida, a rather fearsome woman who lives in the attic. He discovers she is a photojournalist who is going blind and as she tells him stories about her life an unexpected friendship develops. Together they each confront their anxieties and learn that with a little courage new experiences can turn into exciting adventures.
